A few weeks ago we had two job openings for two positions. A warehouse operator and a digital artist. Both positions were full-time. And both gave the opportunity to work in a company that continues to grow at a tight pace. It would be competitive.
We received a ditch of applications. But by no means everyone was invited to a second round.
The web designer
To immediately separate the wheat from the chaff, Hans and Daniel went to work as devious savages. The barbarians hid the send button for the CV. And so candidates immediately had to show their skills to pull it out. (via a certain development tool in the browser)
'Tis actually quite simple. If you can't follow simple instructions when you apply for a job, why would we ever think you could follow instructions while effectively doing your job?
And yet, there were those who sent their applications to the wrong address, failed to adhere to the required file types or simply had a totally different profile.
Fortunately, there was Niels.
After a spartan screening procedure, he turned out to be the ideal fit for BME. And recently he became Hans' sporty, inquisitive and motivated right-hand man. He takes care of the increasing workload and shortens the waiting times for sites and shops - without compromising on quality.
The warehouse operator
Our customers' image is literally in our hands. Because it is we who ensure that their customers are served neatly and on time. Acting rashly in the picking and packing process is therefore an absolute no-go.
Hence, for our newest warehouse employee, we selected the best from the pool of applicants. Roberto earned his spurs at Ikea, among others, and quickly proved to be a self-starter. He exudes maturity, absorbs new knowledge like a sponge and ensures that orders are processed correctly.
