Every month our partners entrust (a piece of) their operations to us. That, of course, is why we're "in business" and we think that's only right. But that also means that we have to send more and more packages.
So the workplace is getting busier and busier.
But that should not cause quantity to take precedence over quality. After all, at the end of the day, our clients' reputations are partly in our hands.
When a consumer orders something online, they usually don't know that a fulfillment partner makes sure their package ends up in their mailbox. Those people don't care. All they want is for their package to be delivered to their home quickly, correctly and undamaged. And preferably as quickly as possible.
That's why we went looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor. One who ensures that your end customer has no reason to complain and can enjoy his purchases as quickly as possible.
He who seeks finds...
And we found Geoffry Kalders.
He, along with the rest of the team, has been taking warehouse operations to the next level since early last week. Posting his resume is overkill, but trust me. He has swum through enough waters to know the logistics fork in the road.
Geoffry earned his spurs at SML and Carglass, among others. After four years as an operator at SML, he was promoted to Logistics Team Leader. He worked there for a total of about seven years and ended up at Carglass, where he worked for three years as Quality Teamleader.
When he was not concerned with safety, optimal staffing and the most efficient approach to problems, he made sure that, above all, the atmosphere within the team was right.
Daniel can't retire yet, but let me tell you that our warehouse is a serious force stronger.
