BME and Kinepolis are joining forces!

Kinepolis Group is the market leader in Belgium and has cinemas all over Western Europe. Recently, they also owned a Canadian cinema chain. Kinepolis knows better than anyone how to broaden a traditional cinema experience into a broader film experience. The viewer enjoys maximum flexibility in the offer. In doing so, they pay very close attention to their infrastructure. In this way, they create the ultimate experience tailored to different target groups. In short, a Belgian world player!

FLEXIBLE E-FULFILMENT PARTNER

For their Belgian webshop, Kinepolis was looking for a flexible e-fulfilment partner. The requirements were a wide range of courier services and the ability to print movie tickets on demand. With each movie ticket having its own unique code, of course. This way, Kinepolis can respond perfectly to the customer's wishes and thus improve its customer service.

Specifically, the question consisted of several components:

• How can we achieve a technical setup where Kinepolis' systems are integrated and we can print vouchers on demand while the unique codes are linked to an order?
• How do we set up an efficient workflow so that order processing runs smoothly and takes into account peaks?

PRINT-ON-DEMAND SOLUTION

With the initial question, developers from both companies went to work. This collaboration effectively led to a print-on-demand solution. Here we link the unique voucher codes to an order and then integrate them into the system of Kinepolis. This creates a closed and secure system whereby the customer service of Kinepolis has all the assets to give correct information regarding an order.

FAST AND CORRECT ORDER PROCESSING

For efficient order processing, we chose to have the printing of vouchers, the preparation of the order as well as the provision of the shipping label done at the packing table. This setup allows us to quickly process orders correctly. It also enables us to handle peaks quickly. Tailor made and thus perfectly tailored to the needs of our new customer!

In short, Kinepolis was unique in its demand and approach. We are therefore proud that together we managed to translate this unique approach during the IT integration. We even integrated a new way of working in our warehouse!
