Business Support students from Regina Mundi visit BME

Chris very briefly assumed the guise of teacher/tour guide last week. For we had the students of the 7th year Business Support of Regina Mundi Genk on the floor.

Since this year, e-commerce has officially been part of the curriculum there. Theory is fun, but Chris introduced them to practice; the behind-the-scenes goings-on at BME.

Teacher Jeroen Wouters was looking for an e-commerce player that offers everything. The entire process from A to Z. From webshop development to the logistical handling of the products.

He himself taught web design for years in the 7th year E-Lab. Originally it involved Dreamweaver and Photoshop, later it became Joomla, Photoshop and its free supporters. After the minister abolished that direction two years ago, Jeroen retrained in logistics. Since last year, he has been teaching that as well.

They are 7th year Business support students who attended BME. Since this year, they also have the subject of e-commerce where they are immersed in the world of online purchases, online payments, online marketing, etc.

What's more, they also have to set up their own web shop and maintain a virtual office. Follow up they do through an ERP package.

Chris gave a company presentation in the meeting room and then took everyone on a tour of BME's offices and warehouses. The students were attentive and asked pointed questions. Nice, such a motivated group of young people visiting.

And who knows ... might there be a future intern or colleague among them?

We are already looking forward to it!
