BME touched down at its new location in Genk this month.
And that move brings news. Today we talk about the wide range of courier services available.
TNT, DPD and Bpost already served our customers. This will continue to be the case. But in order to respond even better to the needs of your (future) customers, BME provides more possibilities. From now on, we will also ship your orders with PostNL and GLS. Customs shipments go via TNT.
We go over them briefly.
PostNL
PostNL delivers from Tuesday to Saturday. They work with professionally trained drivers who are part of their extensive partner network.
For Belgian deliveries, we only work with PostNL for Saturday deliveries. Shipments to the Netherlands go standard with PostNL.
In Belgium and the Netherlands, Saturday delivery is at no additional cost.
For evening deliveries (only NL for now) on Tuesdays and Thursdays, there is a surcharge of 1,25€. PostNL delivers your package to almost all Dutch addresses between 18.00 and 21.30 - home to the door.
The benefits for your online store
- you respond to the needs of your customer
- more service increases conversion
The benefits for your customers
- wider choice of delivery times
- delivery at an agreed time
- your customer can take delivery of the package himself
- your customer often receives the order sooner

GLS
GLS offers reliable (inter)national shipping solutions. In its core market Europe, the logistics company GLS is one of the market leaders for parcels as well as pallets. GLS offers numerous services for all shippers.
For example, there is the FlexDelivery-Service.
GLS emails your customer timely all information about his parcel delivery and an approximate time frame for delivery - for national and transnational parcel shipments between Belgium, Germany, Austria and Poland.
When GLS collects the correctly packed package from us, it is scanned - either immediately upon collection or upon arrival at the depot. Then GLS determines the estimated delivery time. GLS then sends two emails with this information and the estimated delivery time span to your customer. The e-mail also further contains a link that leads directly to the selection of delivery options.
Customer not at home?
Then GLS will keep your customer informed by e-mail. This way he learns that his parcel has been delivered to the GLS-ParcelShop he selected. Or at the specific location specified by your customer.

TNT
Customs shipment? We do that with TNT.
To send your shipment as efficiently as possible, the right customs documents are indispensable. TNT has several tools and services to deliver your customs shipments safely - and without unnecessary delays - to your customer.
About our revamped support
We would like to reiterate that support tickets will from now on be distributed to the entire BME team - so that every question will immediately reach the specialist in the field.
Therefore, from now on, please send all your support questions to the central email address support@bme.be. (and thus no longer to Chris or Daniel, for example, directly).
Until the next update!
